The head of Activision Blizzard held a meeting of shareholders at which he remembered Guitar Hero and discussed the future with Microsoft

While Microsoft is working on the completion of the Activision Blizzard transaction, the company held a collection of shareholders, which discussed a number of issues, reports journalist Jez Corden.

During the meeting, the general director of Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick answered questions. He spoke about the past Activision, how far the company advanced over the past years, about future gaming technologies and even hinted at the return of Guitar Hero.

As for future gaming technologies, then, according to the cat, the company will soon be able to do what it has never done.

If you look at the new technologies that appear on the horizon, then we can do what we have never done before with the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The quality of the graphics has now risen to such a level that we need more writer and acting talent – because we will not be able to live up to the expectations of our players. Games are always very different from cinema and television. In the cinema and on television, you achieve success, creating an emotional connection between you and the audience – our experience is more visceral, but it changes. In the screen and video games there will appear characters with realistic movements of the mouth and facial animation – you will have a new dimension of emotional connection, which we have not yet mastered

Speaking about games, the cat believes that Microsoft support can help in future research and game development. In particular, the possibility of creating Guitar Hero was mentioned.

Most of what I saw in Microsoft is experiments. And they are developing in unusual areas. And therefore, the ability to use their capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analysts, new approaches to the graphics – I just see unlimited potential for what we do. We are in a unique position as a company, because we have the best franchises in all video games.

He continued: "The revival of Guitar Hero and other things would be impossible without different types of resources. And therefore, you know, just endless opportunities for the future are simply incredibly captured".

He also mentioned the idea of using Neuralink, headphones or something similar for interacting with games on the screen without a controller in the future.
